To create awareness about the new parking restrictions in Orangeville, we worked with the town’s first responders to produce a short video explaining why only parking on one side of the road is so important. making sure that emergency services can safely get to where they are needed most is something that we can all support. As producers we make decisions that are deliberate – like working on location with passionate stakeholders – to bring authenticity to a story.

A teleprompter supported by an electronic gimbal transforms ordinary “talking heads” into truly dynamic content.

Municipal public information video production
Aerial/drone shots were necessary to show exactly how much (or how little) clearance these emergency vehicles get on small residential streets. We believe that getting the public “on board” means showing them what’s really at stake.

We don’t talk much about the various formats we develop for each video. Some are clean, with accurate subtitles on the side for YouTube while others, like the one above are re-formatted for vertical video platforms with the subtitles permanently “baked in”. Perfect for Instagram reels, for example. We also pull many 4K resolution “screenshots” from every video in addition to providing high resolution photography. The Canon EOS platform is perfect for this because no matter whether we are shooting raw photography files or high resolution video, the results are stunning – sharp and vibrant, outclassing every other platform.

Hello friends my name is Tony Dulisse and I’m with the Town of Orangeville Infrastructure Services Department. I’m here to let you know that starting in January 2023, the town will be initiating a program to restrict parking on one side of the street in most neighbourhoods. Here with me today is paramedic chief Tom Reid and Fire Chief Ron Morden. My name is Ronald Morden and I am Orangeville’s Fire Chief. Starting next year, the Town of Orangeville is putting forward a new by-law that only allows cars to park on one side of the street. This applies to all residential streets in Orangeville. When emergency service vehicles are responding to calls, one of our biggest challenges is navigating residential streets with many obstacles like parked cars on the street. It can slow down our emergency response vehicles when seconds make a difference between life or death. One of the benefits of parking on one side of the street only is it allows our fire trucks to respond quickly and safely to emergencies in Orangeville. On most streets, one side of the road will always remain clear so that our crews can respond to those in need. I’m Chief Tom Reid with Dufferin County Paramedic Service. Every year, Dufferin County Paramedic Service responds to 3000 9-1-1 calls in Orangeville. As emergency responders in a growing community like Orangeville. It’s important that we continue to reassess the safety of our neighbourhoods to make sure they are accessible for emergency service vehicles. Leaving one side of the road clear, makes safer neighbourhoods for you, the residents of Orangeville and for us, the first responders.
