What better way to showcase their boarding facility and breeding services than this rich, immersive video. Filming animals can be a delightful challenge. Experience the playful antics, boundless love, and sheer cuteness that defines a typical day at Cedar Creek Kennels. Nestled in the scenic beauty of Dufferin County, they breed West Highland Terriers, King Charles Cavaliers, and Russian Blue Cats.

From the footage we were able to produce four videos: one main video focusing on the boarding facility and three videos featuring the different breeds they offer: Russian Blue Cats, West Highland Terriers and King Charles Cavaliers. The specific breed videos are below.

We also provided Cedar Creek with some photography options taken from 4K video still frames. This is where our choice of platform really shines – the quality and the parity of the video and photography coming out of the Canon EOS cinema cameras is simply astounding. Paired with Canon’s pro L-series lenses we produce bright, sharp colourful content that looks beautiful and authentic.

Whether it’s adults, kids or tiny animals we always follow this simple rule: shoot at eye level. So for this production we spent a lot of time crawling around in the grass. For fast-moving action (and there was a lot of that) we used a DJI Ronin gimbal and mounted our camera so it hung just above the blades of grass in the garden behind Cedar Creek Kennels. Of course this immediately attracted too much attention – dogs especially love coming right up to shiny clean lenses to investigate. Most lenses need a minimum focusing distance of a couple of inches at least. So we had our challenges :-)
