Peace Valley Ranch is where we call home. My dad bought it in 1964. The main business was always producing beef. We’re now cow/calf with 120 calves and raising cows for the freezer beef business. Rawhide Adventures is our trail riding business where we have 48 horses and we take people out on private trail rides through the countryside. What a unique opportunity we have here. We’re only steps off the Bruce Trail. The demand for bed and breakfast, and we started that maybe 10 or 15 years ago. It’s been really an interesting experience. We meet so many different people from all over the world. What I really like about our area is that not only is there a local community of people, but it’s a local community of farmers. The more we can recommend other B&Bs or other people who supply freezer beef or other products that we don’t carry, the busier we seem to get. We find that the community based referral system and trust in each other to provide good services… You know, it’s a real piece of pride.
